The Vamps Support Sport Relief

June 2024 · 2 minute read

Despite their hectic schedule after completing the first leg of the world tour, The Vamps are spending their downtime in a charitable way. The band visited lead vocalist, Brad Simpson’s old school in Birmingham to raise awareness of Sport Relief.

Sport Relief is a charity that uses sporting activities to get people involved with raising money. Half of the funds help people across the United Kingdom, and the other goes to deprived countries. Sport Relief have stated over the past years the money has notably resulted in; 189,000 children receiving an education and supporting over 16,500 people to improve their mental health.

The band took part in a creative game of Human Hungry Hippo– using trolleys, washing baskets and topped off with a helmet! This unique twist on the classic board game will hopefully encourage many people to come up with their own activities to support the noble charity.

The Vamps are not only one the best bands in the country– they set a positive example. The boys have worked with a number of charities, which in turn means their fans support these charities too. This shows that anyone can make a difference no matter how big or small. Every donation will help someone and change their life.

The Sport Relief Games takes place from the 18th-20th of March. Want to get your school involved? You can do so by visiting this site!
