He had worked at Starbucks and the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in the past.

Madej was raised in Schaumburg, Illinois.

Shane decided to part ways with BuzzFeed in 2019, only to go on and form Watcher Entertainment alongside his co-workers Ryan Bergara and Steven Lim on April 10, 2019.

Madej and Ryan were paranormal investigators on Ghost Files.

He was one of the producers behind BuzzFeed‘s series “It’s Personal”. While there, he worked alongside the likes of producer Jen Ruggirello.

Shane and Sara adopted a cat in July 2018, whom they named Obi.

His distrust for dogs is a result of an incident involving a Husky gone rogue chasing Shane throughout his neighborhood. Following, the mishap, Shane began having terrible nightmares of a “big, angry, black dog would always sorta be standing there, growling, and it would jump at me, and it would bite my face” as he described it.
