Shana Williams is one of the most popular and richest Athletics Competitor who was born on April 7, 1972 in Bridgeton, New Jersey, United States. After finishing second at the indoor nationals in 2000 and a goal of to be a part of her way onto the US Olympic Team. She jumped 6.80 meters and later had the wind-assisted leap of 6.87 meters, securing third place and earning a spot in the Olympics. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics in Sydney, she did not make it beyond qualifying into the Olympic long jump final. She finished 21st overall. The ultimate US Outdoor appearance came the following year, and she was fourth for the long leap. She completed an MS in exercise science at Syracuse University gaining her diploma in 2001.

She finished second in the 1997 US Indoors behind Dawn Burrell and was picked to compete in the 1998 IAAF World Indoor Championships, where she came in 12th place at the end of. She placed fourth in the outdoor nationals and completed the season with the best season-long mark score of 6.64 metres.
