Latin actress Roselyn Sanchez is the latest person to leave the Miss USA pageant following Donald Trump’s anti-immigrant rant. The star took to her Facebook page to express her disappointment in Trump’s “disrespectful and hurtful” words about Mexican immigrants.

During his presidential-bid speech, Trump was quoted saying, “The U.S. has become a dumping ground for everybody else’s problems. When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people […] It’s coming from more than Mexico. It’s coming from all over South and Latin America, and it’s coming probably­–probably–from the Middle East.”

Sanchez, who co-hosted the Spanish simulcast of Miss USA 2015, has stated that she will no longer “sponsor anything produced by Donald Trump.”

The list of people backing out of the pageant continues to grow. The actress’ co-host, Cristian De La Fuente, has decided to step down from his role. Colombian singer J Balvin has decided to cancel his performance, and Univision has also pulled out of their deal with the pageant.

Trump’s camp insists that they will take necessary legal actions against Univision for pulling out of the Miss USA pageant.
