Thankfully this national treasure is NOT dead to us!

Hopefully it wasn't open heart surgery. My dad's had both open heart and a ton of catheterization procedures. Recovery from the two open heart procedures were months of him staying in a cardiac rehab facility (basically just another hospital) and were miserable. Whereas he's also had cardiac ablations and been home the next day.

She’s always been adorable to me. I hope she recovers and thrives.

She was terrific and almost unrecognizable in Babylon. Get better, Ms. Smart.

You have to cut the unwarranted ego out entirely or it will grow back.

Heart "procedure" likely indicates that she had a transcatheter valve replacement, an ablation, or something of that type that is not as invasive as open-heart surgery. I had congenital heart disease and really wanted to have TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) but my valve was bicuspid and I also had a heart aneurysm, so I wasn't a candidate—had to have old-fashioned open heart surgery to fix all my problems. Fortunately, I was young and recovered from it fairly quickly. The transcatheter heart procedures are kind of amazing—they go in through your femoral artery in your leg and are able to fix/expand/replace your heart valve without ever cutting open your chest. The recovery is quick and much less physically taxing than full on open-heart. I hope Jean is recovering well.
