Amy Schumer used humor to clap back at autism comments about her husband Chris Fischer and her son, Gene.

The comedian recently shared a picture of her almost four-month-old son. Schumer captioned the photo with a question to her fans.

“Would anyone be interested in seeing a docu-series of my pregnancy and birth?’ the Trainwreck star asked.

Her question gave the illusion Schumer might be working on a documentary regarding her difficult pregnancy. She isn’t shy about hiding her life from her fans, so it was a valid question.

However, one user decided to use the question to point out the actress should perhaps do a film on autism.

“I think you’re great. I just feel like it’s self-serving and overdone. I’d like to see a documentary of you discovering your mate is diagnosed with autism and how you cope with the possibility that your child will be on the spectrum,” shared iatotoro.

The remark did not sit well with Schumer. She wasted no time clapping back. Schumer used humor to make sure she got her point across in the blunt manner fans have grown to love from her.

“How I cope? I don’t see being on the spectrum as a negative thing. My husband is my favorite person I’ve ever met. He’s kind, hilarious, interesting and talented and I admire him. Am I supposed to hope my son isn’t like that? I will pay attention and try and provide him with the tools he needs to overcome whatever challenges come up like all parents. I’d be disappointed if he liked The Big Bang Theory and Nascar not if he has ASD,” the comedian remarked.
